Removing the warlord titan casting gates

Now removing all the casting gates. The casting gate is where the top of the mold is, it’s the part I removed here. This is where a person would hand pour the resin down into a silicon mold.

Each piece of every plastic model has these. On a piece that has multiple parts on a casting, this is also called a sprue.

One part done, 192 left, not including any weapons which I have not received yet, 3 of which I can’t even order. Due to COVID the factory in the UK was shut down as non-essential.

After waiting for shipping of a Razor Saw, I have the upper body casting gates all removed. Took about 6-8 hours total to cut all of them off and clean the cuts. Maybe about 50% done. The lower body has fewer casting gates, but they are larger, so I expect about another 6-8 hours of work.

Finally done removing all the casting gates after a huge push today. Spent most of my day on this.

I know this looks like fewer parts then the last set. And it is. I found alot of torso parts in this box that i missorted.

Next up is sub assemblies and dry fitting of parts.
